Spelly Cat DEMO

By Drawza

This is a game that was showcased at The Game Expo (TGX) in Melbourne and a demo is currently available on steam, see the button at the end of this article to check it out.

The short version of my thoughts from TGX was Spelly Cat feels like a nice cosy laidback word game, one to get the brain working and puzzles that really go well with the feel of the game and is perfect for anyone who likes to keep their brain active.

The demo provides a good feel for what the mechanics of Spelly Cat look to be, at the core of it it is a word game and there are multiple mini games that feel like they connect to each other.

With three modes, a basic story, simple world and game world, each providing some challenging puzzles that left me wanting more.

Each mode is quick and with enough thought can be beaten (at least from me).

With a simple demo there is not too much to talk about, however this is a game I look forward to playing the full version upon release.

With 9 different puzzle types, with some combining the conventional word puzzle with a jigsaw like element to it.

Spelly Cat is a game to look forward to playing more of and I look forward to getting challenged even more.

Spelly Cat was developed in Melbourne, Australia by Brkn Fixie, a solo developer.
