Well, it is here…

An anonymous letter invites you to a mysterious train ride…

Having reviewed the demo, I was eagerly looking forward to the release of Detective Ridelle and this game did not disappoint.

From the soundtrack to the visual style this is an aesthetically pleasing murder mystery visual novel game.

The cartoony/comic book style nature of the surrounds mixed with the character cut out designs work to transport the player into the world of Detective Ridelle perfectly.

I felt like I was in a virtual escape room with the information required to solve the puzzles around the room I was in, this seemed to be so perfectly woven into each challenge.

One thing I said in the review of the DEMO was the game felt like going at my pace, it gave time to understand the challenge and it seems to be going for the enjoyment over journeying through a game rather than the frustrations of running out of time during a puzzle.

So, If like me, you enjoy puzzle games that make you feel like you have been teleported to a virtual escape room then this game is perfect for a night of mystery and problem solving.

This is the type of game where you escape when you finish it you are hit with the emotion of what has occurred, I found myself guessing throughout and then found myself second guessing at each turn of the story.

I found myself getting distracted from the main story with a side quest of finding puzzle pieces and having to search through every nook and cranny of the train to find one of the twenty well hidden items.

Highly recommend this game for anyone who love escape rooms, murder mysteries and being thrown into a great story.
